Ernest R. Booker

Ernest R. Booker is a Partner with the Firm. He is a retired Judge for the Municipal Court of East Orange and Municipal Court of Montclair. Mr. Booker serves as the Executive Director of the Newark Parking Authority and General Counsel to the Orange Housing Authority.
Mr. Booker concentrates his practice in commercial and residential real estate development, condominium cooperative conversions, tax abatement, real estate tax appeals, litigation, public entity representation and entertainment law. He has represented numerous well-known artists such as Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, LL Cool J, Jodeci, Gerald Lavert, Freddie Jackson, Evander Holyfield, KG of NaughtyByNature, and many others.
His affiliations include the American Bar Association, Essex County Bar Association, National Bar Association/Judicial Committee - Life Member, Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA), Essex County Municipal Court Judges Association, American Trial Lawyers Association of New Jersey, Garden State Bar Association, National Institute of Municipal Law Officers and American Judges Association.
Mr. Booker has donated and continues to donate his time to various community organizations. He has served in different capacities, such as Member of the Orange Orphans Society, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Member of the Committee of Managers-Llewellyn Park, Member of the Essex County Country Club, and Member of the Board of Trustees of Pine Forge Academy.
He also holds the distinction of being the recipient of several awards including the National Bar Association, Presidential Achievement Award - July, 2002, and the NAACP Thurgood Marshall Freedom Fund Award - November, 2001.
Ernest R. Booker received his B.S. from Union College, Lincoln, Nebraska in 1970, and then attended Rutgers University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey where he completed the Juris Doctorate Program. He was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and United States District Court of New Jersey in December, 1973.
Norman A. Feinstein

Mr.
Feinstein is one of the founding Partners of Feinstein, Raiss,
Kelin & Booker, L.L.C. Mr. Feinstein has extensive experience
in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, commercial
litigation, securitized financing and transactional business
law. He is a past President of the New Jersey Apartment Association
and served as its legal counsel.
Mr. Feinstein is a graduate of the University of Connecticut
and Suffolk University Law School. He was admitted to the
New Jersey Bar in 1973.
Michael Forino

Michael Forino is an associate with the firm. He concentrates his practice in the areas of landlord-tenant law, commercial litigation and general litigation. Mr. Forino also devotes a portion of his practice to family law matters, municipal cases and housing discrimination actions. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Forino clerked for the Honorable Roger W. Daley, J.S.C. of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Middlesex County, Chancery Division, Family Part. Through his clerkship, Mr. Forino became a trained mediator and assisted parties in resolving disputes in Small Claims, Special Civil Part and Family Part matters.
Mr. Forino is a graduate of Rutgers College and New York Law School. During law school, he served as an Executive Board Member of the Moot Court Association and as President of the International Law Society. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Forino was introduced into the Order of Barristers, ranking in the top ten individuals in his class in the areas of oral and written advocacy. Tracey Goldstein

Tracey Goldstein is a Partner at Feinstein, Raiss, Kelin & Booker, L.L.C. Her practice consists of real estate litigation matters. She is a recognized authority on landlord tenant law, having lectured extensively on the subject. She regularly represents property owners in summary dispossess actions and other real estate related litigation, including housing discrimination matters. She was selected as a Rising Star in 2006 and 2007 and as a Super Lawyer in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Ms. Goldstein counsels the New Jersey Apartment Association on landlord tenant issues and key legislation. She was appointed to the Essex County Special Civil Part Bench Bar Committee. She also serves as a mediator for the Civil Division, Special Civil Part Settlement Program of Hudson County. Ms. Goldstein has also served as a panelist at seminars presented by the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education, the Division on Civil Rights, the New Jersey Apartment Association and the Property Owners Association.
Ms. Goldstein was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1994 and the New York Bar in 1995. She received her B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany in 1990 and her law degree from Western New England School of Law in 1994. In law school, she was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Academic Achievement in Trial Methods. She is admitted in the state and federal court of New Jersey.
Ms. Goldstein is a member of the Essex County Bar Association, the Hudson County Bar Association, the New Jersey Apartment Association, the Property Owners Association and is a member of the C. Willard Heckel Inn of Court.
Gary D. Gordon

Mr.
Gordon is a Partner at Feinstein, Raiss, Kelin & Booker, L.L.C.
and Chairman of the Firm's Litigation Department. Mr. Gordon
possesses extensive experience in commercial, contract and
real estate litigation; real estate tax appeals; municipal
law; family law matters; housing code enforcement; rent control
matters (including capital improvement and hardship applications);
housing discrimination and personal injury cases.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gordon has participated successfully
in numerous cases having a state-wide impact. Among those
were:
A
challenge to a municipal ordinance that denied trash collection
to apartment buildings, resulting in the passage of State
legislation mandating the provision of that service to apartment
owners.
Successful
representation of the purchaser of real property in a real
estate tax appeal where the municipality sought to enforce
an agreement made with the seller of the property.
Successful
appellate court challenge to the trial court's denial of attorney's
fees in a dispute with a municipality over the enforcement
of its ordinance. This was the first time a New Jersey state
court held that the federal Civil Rights Attorney's Fee Awards
Act applied in state courts.
In
a case of first impression, the Appellate Division favorably
decided that a local rent control board lacked the authority
to impose penalties on a property owner.
In addition to the substantial body of judicial reported opinions
in which Mr. Gordon has been involved, he has authored an article
for the Seton Hall Law Review on the Rooming and Boarding House
Act.
Mr. Gordon is a graduate of Rutgers College (B.A.1973) and Brooklyn
Law School (J.D.1976). He is a member of the New Jersey State
Bar Association and its Family Law Section as well as the New
Jersey Apartment Association.
Richard S. Kelin

Mr.
Kelin, along with Lawrence Raiss, is a Managing Partner at Feinstein,
Raiss, Kelin & Booker, L.L.C. Mr. Kelin is recognized for his
experience and expertise in the areas of investment real estate
transactions and financing. He represents purchasers and sellers
of apartment complexes, office buildings, shopping centers and
industrial facilities throughout New Jersey. He concentrates
his practice in corporate and commercial law as well. Mr. Kelin's
practice also includes formation and structuring of real estate
partnerships and limited liability companies.
Mr. Kelin is a past President of the Property Owners Association
of New Jersey and has authored articles published in the Property
Owners Association News and Views. He previously served on the
Board of Directors of the New Jersey Apartment Association.
Mr. Kelin has participated in seminars for the Institute for
Continuing Legal Education and other organizations. He was recognized by the NJ/PA Real Estate Journal.
Formerly a law clerk for Judges Leo Yanoff and Thomas Dalton,
Mr. Kelin also served as a student law clerk to former Federal
Appellate Judge John Gibbons. He is a graduate of Rutgers College
in New Brunswick and Rutgers University School of Law-Newark.
Mr. Kelin was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1982 and the
New York Bar in 1983.
Robyn E. Latman

Robyn
Latman possesses extensive experience in the practice of landlord-tenant
law, focusing on both residential and commercial properties.
Ms. Latman also devotes a portion of her practice to real estate,
commercial and general civil litigation, including matters involving
condominium associations. She defends housing code enforcement
issues as well as landlord-tenant disputes in the municipal
courts, and she appears before rent leveling boards on behalf
of owners.
Ms. Latman is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association
and serves as a member of its Special Civil Part Committee and
the Statewide Coordinating Committee for Implementation of Special
Civil Part Best Practices. Ms. Latman is a graduate of American
University and New York Law School. She was admitted to the
Bar in New Jersey in 1999 and admitted in New York in 2000.
Adrienne LePore

Adrienne
LePore concentrates her practice in the areas of landlord-tenant
law, real estate transactions and commercial litigation. She
represents both commercial and residential landlords in complex
landlord tenant matters in counties throughout the state. A
substantial portion of her practice is devoted to residential
and commercial real estate transactions, where she represents
clients in the purchase, sale and refinance of property.
Ms. LePore is a graduate of Boston College and Seton Hall University
School of Law. She was admitted to the Bar in New Jersey in
2000, and the New York Bar in 2001. Prior to joining the firm,
Ms. LePore clerked for the Honorable John A. O'Shaughnessy,
J.S.C., Hudson County, Special Civil Part, Landlord Tenant Division.
Lawrence D. Raiss

Lawrence D. Raiss joined the Firm as a Partner at the time of its inception in 1991, and, along with Richard S. Kelin, has served as a Managing Partner of the Firm since 1999. Mr. Raiss graduated from Lafayette College in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. While at Lafayette College, Mr. Raiss was elected to Psi Chi, the honorary Psychology Society, and he was named to the Dean's List on several occasions. He attended his first year of law school at the University of Toledo, where he was elected to the Law Review. At the conclusion of his first year of law school, Mr. Raiss transferred to Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was also elected to the Law Review prior to his graduation from Seton Hall. While at Seton Hall, Mr. Raiss was a member of the Moot Court Board, and he spent two (2) years working in the Legal Department of the State of New Jersey, Board of Public Utilities. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1981.
In the early to mid 1980s, Mr. Raiss specialized primarily in real estate limited partnership securities transactions, involving both private securities offerings and registered public securities offerings. Since 1986, Mr. Raiss has concentrated his practice in commercial and residential real estate, corporate, commercial and other types of transactional work. In 2009 and 2010, Mr. Raiss was named as a “Superlawyer” in Real Estate by New Jersey Monthly Magazine; this prestigious honor is limited to less than 5% of the attorneys in New Jersey. For many years he has represented leading real estate operators and management firms in the area. Mr. Raiss has been a featured speaker at the annual convention sponsored by the New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) in Atlantic City and he has authored two (2) articles published by the Property Owners Association (POA). He has also served as local counsel for an international telecommunications company which was involved in the installation of undersea fiber optic cable for use with the Internet. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Apartment Association for several years.
Rosalie C. Scheckel

Ms.
Scheckel, a Partner in the Firm, has been with Feinstein, Raiss,
Kelin & Booker, L.L.C. since its inception in 1991. She focuses
her practice in the areas of landlord tenant law, bankruptcy
matters and other litigation arising from landlord tenant relationships.
She is a member of the Supreme Court Committee on Special Civil
Part Practice and the Chairperson of the Landlord Tenant Subcommittee.
She is also a member of the Essex County Bench Bar Committee
for the Special Civil Part. In addition, she is a member of
the New Jersey Bar Association and the Essex County Bar Foundation.
She is a member of the New Jersey Apartment Association. She
has been a frequent speaker at their conferences and has regularly
submitted articles for its magazine. She has participated in
seminars given by the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal
Education and the New Jersey Affordable Housing Management Association
with regard to landlord tenant law. She has also made presentations
to the Property Owners Association and given seminars on behalf
of the Firm to its clients.
Mrs. Scheckel has been a resident of Nutley for many years and
has been involved in community activities, including serving
on the Planning Board and the Board of Adjustment. She was also
elected to serve on the Nutley Board of Education for twelve
(12) years, serving as its president for two (2) terms. She
has also been active in the League of Woman Voters and was appointed
to the Historical Commission in Nutley.
She received her undergraduate degree from the College of St.
Elizabeth, Magna Cum Laude, a Master's degree from Fordham University
and her Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of
Law-Newark. Ms. Scheckel was admitted to the New Jersey Bar
in 1977.
Danna M. Schnoll

Danna M. Schnoll practices primarily in the areas of commercial
and residential real estate transactions and financing, landlord
tenant law, and commercial litigation. She has extensive experience
in representing builders and developers throughout New Jersey
in all aspects of real estate development.
Ms. Schnoll is a graduate of Rutgers College and the University
of Iowa College of Law, where she was a member of the Journal
of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems. Ms. Schnoll
was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and the New York Bar in 1996.
